Falling In Love...Part II

once upon a time, there was a dress,
and oh, it was as pretty as can be!
It was sparkly and white
(and made a girl felt out-of-sight!)
wild, in love and free.

Oh dress!
You inspire poetry!

British designer, Miss Jenny Packham sure knows her stuff! Sweeping chiffon, lots of girly beads and sparkle and 1930's glamour. Does it get any better?! See all her evening wear and bridal gowns here!

Sharing

A miracle has happened in our household: I made pancakes!
And not just any pancakes! I invented my own!
Andrew was a bit skeptical at first ( there was a scent of almonds coming from the kitchen)
but like the good man he is, he gave them a try.
And
they were loved.

So here's the wacky pancake idea:

although we normally make the mix from scratch, i was the cook so i opted for kroger store mix.
but anyways,
my brilliant idea is cinnamon/almond pancakes.
sounds disturbing,
takes delish.
basically, it's a capful and a half of almond extract mixed into the batter.
and the amount of cinnamon can be used based upon personal taste.

wow. that took a long time for me to get out, and it's kind of difficult to follow.
oh well.

love

havn't made an update since last year! how sad that sounds!

if i were to bundle it all up, all that time spent wandering through the days, what would they have to say? is there any sense in trying to recount it all? I don't know.

I have haunted dreams of big blue mountains, spiral-wind red deserts, music and strings, vats of paper fibers, a room full of my metalsmithing tools...and then city streets, crowded with faces, thick with siren sounds...i guess i'm just torn. When Andrew and I talk about moving, about the future, our minds wander and we get too excited to speak. Where will we be after the wedding? Where will we go to grad school? Out West? Back up North? The possibilities swim like paint, i can never catch them but i always see them.

Andy and I made a trip up to lennox mall this holiday season. I had gotten a gift card from my parents that was burning a hole in my purse. So off we went, to just relax and enjoy each other's company, and thus, at the mall, we were tortured. Rude salespeople, rude shoppers, we nearly got hit in the parking lot...twice. Thank goodness for Trader Joe's!
we stocked up on some two-buck chuck (otherwise known as joe's own brand of wine, absolutely delicious, and yes, two dollars!) If it hadn't been for those nice folks in Hawaiian shirts at Joe's, we would have lost all hope in retail. Of course moi being a barista, I see the good and bad everyday, but as a customer, just saying...

so to conclude my ramblings, here are some photos. Here is my happiness, with my happiness, and it should be known that happiness is the growing knowledge of the heart. I continue to fall in love with Andrew in new ways. I continue to find myself re-reading favorite novels, and falling in love all over again. I continue to breath the fresh air in our woods and feel small, loving, free. Here are some moments of love:
